[Review] Gaming on an Acer Iconia Tab 8 | Intel Tablet Series

Long past are the days when I could sit back, boot up my XBOX, and enjoy a ‘meaningful’ 8 straight hours of gaming without a worry in the world!

I think it was about 5 years ago when I realized my fantastic gaming hobby had to be put on a significant halt – I started a job and began playing the game of ‘real life’. Even though this is the case, I’m sure there are many nerd-tastic ‘professionals’ out there like me who do need to hit up a game once in a while to let their minds run free.

I was really happy to see that the Android Play Store allowed me to download a plethora of games for my Acer Iconia Tab 8. :)

Its actually become a habit of mine to boot up a game during downtime – like during subway rides and coffee breaks. What I love is the Acer’s large, crisp & clear screen coupled with the Intel Atom Quad Core CPU. Sure I could play any game on my iPhone too, but everything is just so much more fun with a larger screen and faster CPU speed.

What am I currently playing?

- Spider-man Unlimited: it’s like Temple Run but way cooler… Spider-man… duh

- Super GNES: This is my favourite. It’s a Super Nintendo Emulator where you can load games (roms) saved onto your SD card. No joke… I’m OBSESSED with my two old favourite games: Super Mario RPG and Chrono Trigger. Classic and amazing.

Tell me what games you’re playing!
