[Recap] World MasterCard Toronto Fashion Week 2014 | Top 3 Trends

[Recap] World MasterCard Toronto Fashion Week 2014 | Top 3 Trends

It barely feels like springtime in Toronto but the runways were prepped and ready to showcase the upcoming Fall/Winter collections. Here are our Top 3 Trends from the World MasterCard Toronto Fashion Week:

#1: Bigger is Definitely Better

Bulky scarves, chunky knits and fuzzy outerwear dominated the runways. I can’t think of anything better than being all wrapped up like a cozy cocoon!

Mélissa Nepton - FW14     Joe Fresh FW14

#2: Take a Break From Natural Hues

Add some warmth to your wardrobe with heavy doses of vivid pink, deep cranberry or bright blue-green shades.

Laura Siegel - FW14     Soïa & Kyo - FW14

#3: Sporty Luxe

Sporty stables like hoodies and drawstrings pants have become luxurious to wear. Using dressier fabrics and bold or whimsical patterns, these reserved-for-weekends pieces have undergone an upscale makeover that will definitely be present in my closet for the upcoming Fall/Winter!

We also loved the decorative touches and embellishments that adorned several creations in the White Label collection from David Dixon. This collection is exclusive to the Kleinfeld Hudson’s Bay on Downtown Queen Street in Toronto and will be available on May 1, 2014! :D
