Spring break is right around the corner and I’m ready to kick up my heels, relax and enjoy the sunshine in another country… or at least I wish I was. Unfortunately, our travel plans for this year are all concentrated in the summer so we’ll be stuck in this winter wonderland for just a while longer. Hopefully this spring break style guide will be helpful to those of you who will be spending your week soaking up some Vitamin D!
My latest obsession has been bustier/bralette tops. I think they’re versatile, easy to pair and overall fun to wear especially for the Spring and Summer. Roll up the sleeves to a trusty denim jacket, add some super arm candy and you’re pretty much good to go for a simple and casual day. Also, the Ray-Bans Original Wayfarers Surfs Up sunglasses are super on-trend for this summer.
Another closet staple is the maxi dress. With some careful accessorizing, the maxi dress can be worn casually or to a fancy night out. Here, I’ve chosen to keep it simple once again (a trend you’ll find I quite like) but you could easily swap the denim jacket for a leather jacket with a black leather studded clutch for a rocker-chic look.
Mint green is a great spring/summer colour! I like mixing different shades of mint green to accent a monochromatic look. The colour pop brings life to a basic base — my favourite piece from this ensemble is the Fossil Cecil Watch! Not a fan of mint green? Switch out the accessories to colours you do like.
Overalls are making a come back this season and they’re great for outdoor festivals — maybe not music festivals since they can be a little complex to take off if nature calls… But if you’re just taking a stroll, sightseeing and all that jazz, they’re pretty comfy to wear.
For night outs with your friends, this look is perfect and of course, SIMPLE!
When you’re on vacation, it’s not necessary to overpack especially for short vacations. My rule of thumb: pack versatile and light bases that you can mix and match throughout the week. Accessories are light and great pieces to transform any outfit from day to day or day to night. I hope these looks have inspired you for your own Spring Break vacation or just for the coming season! <3
