Attention Foodies! | 18th Annual Eat to the Beat Fundraiser (Preview)

On October 22, 2013, 60 of Canada’s top female chefs will be donating their time and talent to create mouthwatering delicacies at the 18th Annual Eat to the Beat. Held in the heart of King Street theatre district (Roy Thompson Hall), this culinary fundraiser benefits Willow Breast Cancer Support Canada, a not-for-profit organization that offers free peer support to anyone coping with breast cancer.

Eat to the Beat - Nuit Regular

If you’re a huge foodie like me, you definitely will not want to miss this event. Not only is it a mecca for urban foodies but also a hub for those who want to experience everything Ontario’s culinary scene has to offer. It’s also the only event in Canada that exclusively features the talents of 60 female chefs! Hurrah for women supporting women!!

Eat to the Beat - Tipicular Fixins

So what can you expect from this event? Obviously copious amounts of sweet and savory foods, wines, premium beers and spirits that are available for sampling. Some of the lady chefs include: Nuit Regular (Khao San Road), Trish Sheen (Crush Wine Bar), Dufflet Rosenberg (Dufflet Pastries), Wanda Beaver (Wanda’s Pie in the Sky), and Angela Panigas (Sultan’s Tent). In addition to the delectables, visitors can also enjoy a fun and colorful tradition at Eat to the Beat — breast cancer survivors modeling original food-inspired corsets that they have created.

We hope you can make it and let these amazing chefs spark your tastebuds!
