I’ve been to many events and conventions in my current young years but my favourite among all of them is always Fan Expo. The reason? Well, the answer is very simple – the ladies restroom never has a line up (#LadyProblems)!! Just to set the record straight, there were many females onsite so it’s not like I was the ONLY one there.

Anyway, that was a really far off tangent so let’s get back to the real story. If you had a chance to stop by the Ubisoft area at the convention, I hope you had equally as much fun as I did, if not more. For those of you who couldn’t make it, you’ll just have to settle with living vicariously through DRex.

From August 22 – 25, fans had the opportunity to take some fun photo booth pictures using backgrounds from some of their favourite Ubisoft games. I, unfortunately, wore a green shirt and ended up blending in with the green screen in the back. Super stealthly, right? In addition, attendees had some hands-on time with highly anticipated titles like Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag (release date: October 2013), Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Blacklist (newly released), Rayman Legends, Rocksmith 2014 (release date: October 2013), and Just Dance 2014 (available October 8, 2013). There was one more, and this one’s for card players – Might & Magic Duel of Champions! Oh, and before I forget, I got to watch a game play for South Park: The Stick of Truth, which was hilarious.

If that wasn’t exciting enough, fans also got the opportunity to meet Todd McFarlane (& his fam jam) and if you got that special golden ticket, you could have gotten his autograph as well. This was Todd McFarlane’s first time at Fan Expo and he definitely did not disappoint. Three of the seven Assassin’s Creed – Series 1 Figures were available for purchase exclusively at Fan Expo Canada.

My favourite part of the exhibit was getting a sneak preview of the Watch_Dogs game demonstration. Unfortunately, I swore to absolute secrecy so I can’t divulge any information. You’ll just have to trust me when I say the game looks AWESOME!! I honestly can’t wait for it to be released in November. I even got to see the grand prize Scion tC Watch Dogs car (the grand prize item in the Watch_Dogs Live mobile app campaign). Get in on the action by downloading the Canada exclusive Watch_Dogs Live application on iPhone or Android for the remainder 3 missions before the game’s release.

Anyway, it’s time for me to close this high from Fan Expo and go back to playing Blacklist because I’ve neglected it for much too long. See ya!

PS: Did you really think I’d spill the beans on Watch_Dogs? :P
