3rd Annual N9NE Gala | Photos and Recap

Nothing like spending a beautiful summer night overlooking Toronto at the Stonegate Private Counsel patio at 15 York!

On June 19th, we were lucky enough to attend the 3rd Annual N9NE Gala – a fundraiser committed to helping the Canadian Breast Cancer Support fund. What does N9NE stand for? “Night of the Nines”! Inspired by love, life, talent, achievement, patience, wisdom, knowledge, harmony and inspiration. It’s a tribute to the traits that make up strong and empowered women.

Attended by a list of beautiful party-goers, the night was hosted by N9NE founder, Roula Panagiotopoulos, advertising exec and Founder/Editor of beautyconnexion.com.

Wine, dancing, delicious hors d’oeuvres… what more could you ask for? Entertainment included a manicure station by Lux Spa (hello, free mani!!), palm reading, and stellar performances by accomplished violinist, Sonia Lee (who recently played at President Obama’s Inaugural Ball) and premiere Toronto DJ, Bellosound (who we’ve seen at many upscale events in the city, such as The Carlu’s 10th Anniversary).

A silent auction was also available for some fabulous items from a list of generous donors. I had my eye on the O-P-I gift basket!

Congrats to Roula and the gang on a job well done! Special thanks to Dina Baras for all her support. Until the next gala!

About the Canadian Breast Cancer Support Fund (CBCSF) Charity

Donna Sheehan founded CBCSF in 2010. CBCSF is a brand new organization run by volunteer effort. After Donna was diagnosed with breast cancer herself, she changed her career path. She spent seven years working for non-profits that provided information and psychological support to breast cancer patients, their families, and caregivers. In her time with people, she recognized a trend. Their financial struggle was often so stressful that it overshadowed the diagnosis and difficult healing process. Though millions of dollars are raised yearly for breast cancer research and education by ‘pink’ campaigns. Although these campaigns are worthy, they do not address the niche that CBCSF does.

Green is the new pink™! CBCSF is committed to easing the burden of breast cancer patients with financial difficulties and assisting patients with expenses not covered by provincial or private insurance.
