On May 10th, we had the opportunity to rub elbows with celebs, athletes and Toronto’s finest at the second annual Right To Play Ball.
Hosted by Canadian television journalist, Glen Baxter, we met up at the Shangri-La Hotel (I love this venue) for drinks, hors d’oeuvres and a silent auction – all fantastic fundraising efforts for Right To Play’s sport for development programs. The night was a great reflection of Toronto’s high lifestyle gathering together for a worthy cause.
Throughout the night, Karl and I got our dance-on to drop steady beats from Montreal’s DJ jojoflores and The Ellen Degeneres Show’s very own DJ Tony Okungbowa.
Johann Olav Koss, 1992/1994 Olympic speed skating legend, CEO and President of Right To Play, was in attendance and gave some kind words about how the charity has helped build better futures for children in over 20 countries.
We spotted many familiar faces in the crowd including Kardinal Offishall (it was his birthday!) and Canada’s Next Top Model Judge, Stacey McKenzie.
Kudos to Glen Baxter, Johann Olav Koss and the rest of the Right To Play team. Keep up the amazing work, we’ll see you next year!
