This year marks the fifth anniversary of Advertising Week Canada. With a bold new vision and direction, the coveted industry event has been rebranded as FFWD: Advertising and Marketing Week. Designed to inspire, educate and energize the Canadian communications and technology industries, FFWD reflects the fast forward pursuit of building brands and business success.
As a marketer myself, the annual event always presents a great opportunity for me to learn about emerging concepts in brand engagement from a number of speaker series – hosted by industry icons such as Facebook, Google, Ipsos Reid and LinkedIn. Parties, galas and award ceremonies also take place that give us a chance to celebrate brand success stories we’ve witnessed in the prior year.
