“Great Scott!”

Last weekend, Karl and I had an epic time hanging out with superheroes, villains, vixens, droids, Jedis, Pokémon, zombies, and celebrities.
From Aug 23-26, Fan Expo Canada crossed off another big year as the largest Canadian multi-genre fan convention welcomed thousands of nerds, gamers, and comic lovers to the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.
Lineups were huge and costumes were plenty. Front St. West in downtown Toronto turned into a mash-up scene between Star Wars and The Walking Dead. Days like these don’t come around often!

The event offered an array of unique content to suit the tastes of every fan out there. Some of these included:
- - Panels (with film and television actors)
- - Seminars and workshops with comic book artists and professionals
- - Meets with top comic book and video game companies
- - A costume Masquerade
- - Autograph sessions with some of our favourite celebs
Overall, we couldn’t help but have a good time. Just getting to snap pics of fans in costume was brilliant. These days, almost anyone can relate to the fan base as huge movie blockbusters like Batman, Spiderman, and Avengers take precedence in our media culture.
Below are some photos of our favourite moments. Check out our Facebook to see all photos from Fan Expo Canada 2012.

We like her giant sickle.

“This will be a day long remembered. It has seen the end of Kenobi, and will soon see the end of the rebellion.”
